Not just for June

 Hey gothlings. Pride month may be over, but that certainly doesn't mean that the issues the LGBTQ+ community face is over. The fight for understanding, compassion and acceptance still goes on and I will continue to remain an outspoken ally and friend to this community. I wasn't going to blog this look, but then someone said I looked cute, while I was doing the Enchanted Faery Hunt over at Psycho Barbie, so I figured what the heck? Wear your colours with Pride!

 

Hey gothlings, I guess this post is more for the 'pastel-goths' out there, but as its Pride month, you get a Pride post, so shut up and wear your rainbows with pride lol. OK, thats my preachy bit done hehe. I've long stood under the 'q' for someone who is questioing their sexuality and have previously thought of myself to be bisexual, but am currently back to being 'questioning' and an ally for anyone who stands under the rainbow. I'm actually OK with not picking and adopting any particular label. I am who I am and I dont need a label that tells me who I am. A friend recently said I could be agender, non-binary or gender non-conforming. Maybe, I never did like to conform to anyones expectations of me, lol. At least in SL I can be who I want to be and not be questioned or judged for it.

It's a matter of Pride

So hey Gothlings, this month also happens to be Pride month. A time of year where anyone who falls under the LGBQT+ umbrella get to celebrate their sexuality whilst also attempting to engage with straight folks and break down some of the myths and boundaries around the LGBQT+ community. Throughout the month there are tons of events on in SL celebrating Pride month and lots of creators are offering some fabulous gifts. Here are some of my favourite's. I have mix and matched the adorable top from Bella Epoque with the shorts from Seniha. and finally I have finished off this colourful look with these gorgeous sneakers from Equal.

Prayers for Pulse

In the early hours of June 12th 2016, 49 innocent clubbers were killed and another 53 injured by a single gunman in the deadliest mass shooting in American history. This atrosity is also the largest act of violence against Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Trans-gender people in history.

In true SL style, we remember the fallen, and support the families affected by this horrific tragedy by shopping our hearts out at the Pulse fundraiser, where every purchase donates 50- 100% of your money to the Pulse Victims Fund set up by Equality Florida.
