Wear your colours with Pride!

 

Hey gothlings, I guess this post is more for the 'pastel-goths' out there, but as its Pride month, you get a Pride post, so shut up and wear your rainbows with pride lol. OK, thats my preachy bit done hehe. I've long stood under the 'q' for someone who is questioing their sexuality and have previously thought of myself to be bisexual, but am currently back to being 'questioning' and an ally for anyone who stands under the rainbow. I'm actually OK with not picking and adopting any particular label. I am who I am and I dont need a label that tells me who I am. A friend recently said I could be agender, non-binary or gender non-conforming. Maybe, I never did like to conform to anyones expectations of me, lol. At least in SL I can be who I want to be and not be questioned or judged for it.

It's (still) a lockdown life

 Hi gothlings, so it's been a year (and some days) since we first entered into lockdown here in the UK. And we have effectively been in lockdown for the last 4 months. Infection numbers seem to be finally falling and the vaccination programme is well under way. I've had my first jab and my second is due next week! Things are slowly starting to open back up. Schools are back open (yay!) Non-essential retail and pubs are reopening soon, with restrictions in place. Things are beginning to look .... hopeful. Which is just as well, because although I generally do enjoy my own company, I cant wait to be able to see friends again and just go for coffee! There is only so much netflix, face-timing and living room parties you can do tbh! I mean, even Millie is getting bored with it all and has clearly turned to drink! Oh no! It looks like she's finally pulled out the fancy wine that she was saving for a special occassion! At least she's got dressed up for it though!

At the movies.

 Hey gothlings, I've been busy the last week or so getting organised for my first-borns birthday, so not had a lot of SL time, other than to shop and log lol! Anyway, I finally got around to going through my boxes. And here's what I got. An amazing 'star sign' cropped top from Psycho Barbie, from last week's The Saturday Sale, which I paired with these gorgeous Carly shorts from epoch. These were in The Saturday Sale this week. It's a matter of Pride

So hey Gothlings, this month also happens to be Pride month. A time of year where anyone who falls under the LGBQT+ umbrella get to celebrate their sexuality whilst also attempting to engage with straight folks and break down some of the myths and boundaries around the LGBQT+ community. Black Lives STILL Matter

Hey gothlings, so as the tide has undoubtedly turned from one of support to one of criticizing the Black Lives Matter protests and the ensuing riots and protests over the racist undertones of many historical statues worldwide has hit, I fear the very important message of the Black Lives Matter movement has been lost. However, thanks to efforts such as the Stand for Justice Event and the Black Lives Matter Memorial Wall in SL, hopefully we can keep on pushing the narrative that Black Lives Matter and effect REAL change in equality and justice for people of black and ethnic minority origin. And there are still lots of amazing gifts available to show your support for this very important cause. The cute tied t-shirt is available at the Blacl Lives Matter memorial wall, while these amazing joggers are a group gift from Coco. I absolutely love these joggers and could seriously wear them all day long. They are equally as comfortable for protesting in, or just lounging at home.

Summer of Goth part 2

Hey Gothlings, so this past couple of weeks have been a real difficult couple of weeks, hey? They've been hard for me as empath to feel all that hate and negativity, but I have tried hard to promote positivity and oppose racist, bigoted views wherever possible. That has been tough, especially when some of it has been coming from my own family! I sometimes wonder how I am related to these people! Day at the Fair

Hi gothlings. So today I wanted to show you the adorable Stay at Home gift from devious Mind! I absolutely adore this vintage style dress, which brought to my mind the good old Carnival/ Fair's of days long gone. Hope you love it as much as I do! I completed the look of an age old ringmaster/mistress with an old top hat from Rotten Defiance (store no longer open, sorry) and boots from TOG store, which were on offer over the weekend for L$50 with an entire outfit. Season of the Witch

Hi Gothlings! You know, it's funny how when you start a blog post and you have a general idea in mind of what you want to do, then as you start going through your inventory and putting things together it organically takes on a whole new idea. Well this is what happened here. I was planning for a wholly different look/ theme, then as I wandered Ostara's alter and started collecting up their delightful little hunt gifts (sorry I think this event is now over), this whole other look began to emerge. I had intended for this to be a cute Springy post, but after finding this beautiful eye-patch from Arachnes Garden (which I love so much, I might never take off again! lol) and these adorable shoes from Sadistic Obsession, I just HAD to buy this gorgeous little black dress from Oubliette to go with them! Stay the f*ck home

Hello again my gothlings. No doubt by now you will all be well aware of the current Coronavirus global pandemic. It is truly a frightening time to be alive. As a keyworker, I am still currently in work, however my daughter has a chest infection, so we are self isolating, just n case. Pretty sure it is nothing, because we get them all the time being asthmatic and all. I've read loads of negative comments online about blogging this situation. But, as they safe, art imitates life, or the other way around! Anyways, I'm glad that in SL at least, I can find toilet paper and face masks! And without having to queue for miles to get in the store! So here's my lil post. And please, unless it is absolutely essential, stay the f*ck at home and help protect all of us from this nasty virus!

I had to slightly update this post as a dear friend of mine made these gorgeous 
prints inspired by the find the rainbow movement that is currently taking the UK by storm. People everywhere are filling their windows with pictures of rainbows to try and bring a smile to everyone during these difficult times, both to keyworker's keeping the country safe and also to give children something to look for on their permitted outings for daily exercise with their families. 90's throwback!

So once in a while an event comes round that sparks of my interest and Rewind is one of them, as a 90's chick I thoroughly enjoyed shopping this event, it brought back so many fond memories of sneaking out behind my mum's back to go see my BFF back then and just hang out. It was probably the last great carefree era, before technology and social media took over all our lives! Back when you if you wanted to see your friends, you actually had to go round to their house to see if they were in, god forbid you used the house phone as it was too expensive to be calling your friend who lived just across the street! A time when neighbours were neighbourly and actually looked out for one another. When summer seemed to last forever, and the winters were postcard perfect.

Millie's Adventures in Nowhere!

So this week I have been having fun catching up and playing the Sn@tch Nowhere annual game. If you have never played any of the sn@tch games, i suggest you have a go at this one before it is gone! The game itself is hud based- which you can purchase for free here - you then have to follow the clues through the game to the end. There are plenty of hidden gifts and scares along the way! There are three outfits I want to show you in this post, one being from before I started the game, and the other 2 being prizes form within the game.


You start off having just crashed your car and having no memory of who you are, where you are or why you are there. You then have to follow the story along, to figure it all out, picking up prizes along the way!

This place gets freakier and freakier.... and still no damn signal!

But apparently, i still found time to have a change of clothes...
