Darkness falls across the land...

This month I have had the wonderful privilege of being accepted onto The Darkness Chamber Fair blogger team, and I can say that everything on offer is absolutely wonderful, but I've had particular fun playing around the Death Row Designs graveyard in this absolutely gorgeous dress from Secret Oktober. This simply beautiful dress didn't require much dressing up, however I found these beautiful Flutterbye booties from 1313 Mockingbird Lane did the job just perfectly - available at a reduced price for The Saturday Sale, and last but not least, I complemented the look with this oh so delicate Eldora Skull necklace from Morbid Mauseleum- also available at The Darkness Chamber Fair. It's a matter of Pride

So hey Gothlings, this month also happens to be Pride month. A time of year where anyone who falls under the LGBQT+ umbrella get to celebrate their sexuality whilst also attempting to engage with straight folks and break down some of the myths and boundaries around the LGBQT+ community. Throughout the month there are tons of events on in SL celebrating Pride month and lots of creators are offering some fabulous gifts. Here are some of my favourite's. Black Lives STILL Matter

Hey gothlings, so as the tide has undoubtedly turned from one of support to one of criticizing the Black Lives Matter protests and the ensuing riots and protests over the racist undertones of many historical statues worldwide has hit, I fear the very important message of the Black Lives Matter movement has been lost. However, thanks to efforts such as the Stand for Justice Event and the Black Lives Matter Memorial Wall in SL, hopefully we can keep on pushing the narrative that Black Lives Matter and effect REAL change in equality and justice for people of black and ethnic minority origin. And there are still lots of amazing gifts available to show your support for this very important cause. The cute tied t-shirt is available at the Blacl Lives Matter memorial wall, while these amazing joggers are a group gift from Coco. I absolutely love these joggers and could seriously wear them all day long. They are equally as comfortable for protesting in, or just lounging at home.

Summer of Goth part 2

Hey Gothlings, so this past couple of weeks have been a real difficult couple of weeks, hey? They've been hard for me as empath to feel all that hate and negativity, but I have tried hard to promote positivity and oppose racist, bigoted views wherever possible. That has been tough, especially when some of it has been coming from my own family! I sometimes wonder how I am related to these people! Luckily with some help from a lovely SL friend (who's fortunate enough to be on my RL fb) and a RL friend those views have been challenged, and hopefully changed for the better! <3 Anyway, so after all that, what else was there to do, but slip into the latest threads from Beauty of Darkness, have a few drinkies and while away the last of the days' light with a BBQ from the amazing Casket BBQ grill from Immoral Designs - currently available at Necrosis.

Always Be Kind

Welcome back gothlings. This is a super duper quick post in relation to the heinous incident that happened over in the USA, and that off course was the absolute abuse of power that resulted in the tragic and very public murder of  George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was held prone for 10 minutes with the weight of 4 police officers on him and one in particular who had his knee on the back of his neck, who purposefully and willfully held him down until Floyd died, in an absolutely barbaric display of police brutality. I'm never sure how to feel about commenting on such public RL incidents within this SL blog, however I just want to take this time to say that as a white, British woman I stand with all people of colour and I'm watching the news over here shocked at the level of persecution these people STILL live through in this day and age when racism should be no more. We all bleed the same colour and breath the same air. We all feel love, happiness, dismay and giref the same way. We are one race!

In the USA and worldwide there have been mass protests in support of people of colour. Show your support to this cause by heading down to Petite Mort and snatching up this beautiful t-shirt and wall tapestry.

Summer of Goth!

Hey gothlings, welcome back to another exciting round of Necrosis! This time the theme is 'Summer of Goth', which is actually one of my most favourite themes to play around with. This was a quick and easy shoot for my first post based on the event. Here, Millie is lazing around in the Necrosis pool, wearing her favourite bikini and applying some of all that oh so crucial goth block lest she get a tan to ruin her beautiful pale skin, available from Infernal Alchemy at Necrosis.
