Never say never

Hi loyal readers, I know I haven't been around much at all as of late, but having a new baby has sapped my energy and my blogging mojo, as well as my SL time. But, things are getting easier now, So I am slowly returning to business as usual! I have bought myself a small plot of land, and am starting to feel the blogging itch again! Spooky Snatch...

haha, I couldnt resist having that as the title! Anyways, I just recently got done with the Pulse/ Snatch annual horror game, and wanted to share a few pics from the event with you. This game is always a treat, it fully immerses you into whatever dark and creepy scenario the very talented people behind it can come up with! The game runs usually from mid October- mid November, now the official close date for the game this year was 17th November, but I just managed to get back in to complete it, so you may still have time! Swamp Fairy

I want to take this opportunity to wish a great big Happy St Patrick's Day to all my Irish readers out there (do I have any Irish readers?? lol). The future is here...

and it comes in the form of the Futurewave event. This is a WEEK long event only, and we are already half way through! Brought to you by the same people behind such events as Gothmas by Gaslight and A Clockwork Spiral, this event features all your favourite goth and alternative designers, but with a focus on futuristic/ cyber-goth fashion. Sakide brings us this wonderful futuristic inspired dress, with this gorgeous digital texture available in various different colours. I love how this dress oozes futuristic post apocalyptic style. And for some reason, it reminds me of Lt. Uhura from The Original Star Trek... I have no idea why, maybe because of how short it is, lol! My skin, eyes and nails are also from Futurewave, but I have accessorised this look with some fun items from this months Collabor88, which coincidentally is also 'futuristic' themed!

Demons and Dragons

So I don't often do 'look of the day' type posts very often, buuuut this week I was playing with some of the gatchas over at Oh My Gatcha, and was lucky enough to grab a few things I really wanted, including some of the gorgeous new Dragon's Eye ring and necklaces, as well as Death Row Designs wicked horns, that I just HAD to show to you... The outfit I'm wearing was simply what I was wearing at the time, but overall, I think the look worked out perfect- the accessories seem to pull it all together!

So, I'll let you all into a little known fact... I own lolas!!! haha, yes I do! I never thought I'd want lolas, honestly I was quite anti-lolas at one point, til a dear friend of mine (she knows who she is!!) talked me into getting them, and honestly I think, when used well they can look good! I'm very slow to catch onto 'new' things in SL, I still don't own slink hands for instance, so I don't get them out very often, but when I do I try not to over-inflate them too much, lol. The outfit I'm wearing is from one of my go-to stores, Sakide, and this time I'm wearing one of their new releases that is currently available at the Boobies Show, so off course I had to see how it looked with my lolas! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, anyway!

I have accessorized my outfit with the stunning Dragon's Eye ring and choker from the little bat. The ring (as well as necklaces and hair-bows) are available at Oh My Gatcha. I actually started off wearing the matching necklace to the ring, however I had a problem in that it sunk into my boobies! So, I had an idea.... and I asked Drusilla Dethly if it would be possible to make the necklace 'boobie-friendly', or if she could work the design into a choker for all us boobie-loving girls (which I guess I am too!!), and voile! She worked her magic and crafted the adorable Dragon's Eye choker that I am wearing! This choker is available at the main store, and is colour-changeable via hud.

Flux: Dia de Los Muertos

Once again it is time for Flux- and this time the theme is Dia de Los Muertos (off course!). Come and check out the bright and gaudy Dia de Los Mertos themed sim and check out the stunning items made exclusively for this event. There's something for everyone's budget too, as some of the designers have provided gatchas or gifties. The event is on til 7th November,so plenty of time to get your Day of the Dead goodies XD

I simply adore this dress from Sakide. I love how it is cut to give your av a nice, vintage style shape, and the colours are vibrant and eye-catching. This dress can be worn either long, or short and is available in 2 other colours; black and red. It is priced at L$120, so easy for any wallet. The axe in my head is also exclusive to Flux, and is by down down down. This axe also comes in 2 different versions, this special halloween version, priced at L$90, and a full colour-change version priced at L$140. Helena Stringer, of The Stringer Mauseleum, has outdone herself this time and has made tons of delightful Day of the Dead themed goodies including these eyes and rings, both are which are available in her gatchas, L$10 a go for the eyes, and L$25 a go for the rings. I am still wearing the gorgeous new Ivy skin from aeva, this time without any lip make-up, so you can see how delicious these lips are! I love how Flux challenges me as a blogger to think differently and to try new things/ styles that I perhaps wouldn't otherwise.
